Wharfedale
Wharfedale is the valley of the upper parts of the River Wharf.
Grassington is the main settlement in Wharfedale and still retains its old world village charm whilst providing the facilities of a small town.
It is one of my least 'walked' areas of North Yorkshire, although still remains one of my favourites. It’s always quite a dilemma for me as it almost takes me as long to get here as it does to get to the Lake District. Hence, I’ve still got quite a bit of exploring to do around here. But I certainly will do.
