The 190 miles of the Coast to Coast starts from the Irish Sea at St Bees and finishes on the other side of the country at Robin Hoods Bay on the North Sea Coast. It passes through three National Parks along the way: The Lake District, The Yorkshire Dales and The North Yorkshire Moors.
It is a challenging walk, but possibly the most rewarding and is certainly a very sociable walk where new friends will always be made along the way.
As this was my first ever long-distance walk, I was unsure as to whether I could actually do it? I had been inspired by watching Julia Bradbury’s DVD on the walk and had a powerful desire to achieve it, fortunately with plenty of care (and beer) we were able to complete the walk as planned and from the minute I finished – I wanted to do it all over again – It’s that good !
