Ullock Pike, Long Side, Carl Side & Dodd

A great day out with my daughter Gemma - We parked up on the roadside near the Ravenstone Hotel and headed up Ullock Pike on the Allendale Ramble. I love this ridge climb - and it was extra special having Gemma with me today. After Ullock Pike, we continued along the ridge to reach Long Side & Carl Side. The views over to Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite and their surrounding Fells, are a joy to see especially in the clear weather we had today.

We 'descended' down to Dodd (well back up again slightly) and then followed the well established path back down to the roadside before walking through the adjacent Dodd Wood back to the car. A great day out - one of my favourites !
