Settle, Feizor, Austwick and Wharfe Wood circular walk

Thursday 30th April 2026

Whilst walking in the Ribble area some months ago, we met a couple (Geoff & Janet) who suggested another good walking route. I could roughly remember what they had suggested, so decided to head off in that direction and check it out.

My rough intention was to visit Feizor, Austwick and Wharfe Woods, but it wasn't fixed, I could alter it as I fancied - most folk I met along the way seemed to be doing a Settle to Feizor circular, which was probably half the distance and did capture the majority of the fun. I did however, really enjoy Oxenber and Wharfe woods and it would have been a shame to miss the spectacular floral displays and the wildlife present there.

It was indeed a lovely area and I certainly enjoyed the walk, which was made all the better by the lovely warm sunny weather.
