Parking at Stonethwaite roadside, we followed the Cumbria Way before going up Lingy End and Dock Tarn. Great Crag was then visited en-route to Watendlath. After a late lunch we headed down Puddingstone Bank and called in at Grange Fell along the way. A relatively easy circular walk which offers plenty.

Parking

After crossing the bridge at Stonethwaite and following the Cumbria Way southwards, the path we take bears left and heads for Lingy End. A stone staircase up through the woods follows.

Someone knows the way already

A ten minute delay whilst the two primary school teachers get into classroom mode and study the frog spawn.

After a walk alongside Dock tarn and a visit to Great Crag - we arrive in Watendlath for lunch
