Aira Force, Ullswater Way, Glenridding Dodd, Sheffield Pike & Hart Side

Friday 1st October 2021

A walk around Aira Force was followed by a gentle walk along the Ullswater Way towards Glenridding. Then it was into the very secretive Glencoyne tucked away from view by steep slopes and a protective circle of craggy peaks.

The tranquil dale is left as I head up and over the south ridge skirting Glencoyne wood and onto the fine summits of Glenridding Dodd, Heron Pike and Sheffield Pike, From there it was around the head of Glencoyne to Hart Side before gradually descending back down the grassy wide ridge to my car at Park Brow and a particularly heavy shower as I was preparing for my drive home.
