Wensley to Middleham via Spennithorne, Ulshaw & East Witton.

A 'Rekkie' for a forthcoming Winter Walk - Rather soggy underfoot with some areas pretty muddy. Hopefully we will have a cold snap over the next few weeks and we will enjoy the walk on solid ground.

Parking

Starting in Wensley on a dreary January morning

Wensley Bridge over the River Ure

It's going to be a muddy one !

The Ure was well swollen - and fast flowing

Storm damage repairs - glad to be told that the electricity had been turned off

How wet is this place - Wensleydale is a flood plain ?

Grey Lag ?? Any ideas - I'm not to good on bird spotting
