Souther Fell, Blencathra, Mungrisedale Common, Bannerdale Crags & Bowscale Fell

A cold and dry day around the Blencathra area. We parked in the village of Mungrisedale on the roadside by the River Glenderamacken and made our way up and over the gentle Souther Fell. We followed the Scales Fell route to the top of Blencathra before walking over Foule Crag and onto Mungrisedale Common. A slow trudge back from there to Bannerdale Crags and then onto Bowscale Fell before descending back to Mungrisedale for a pint in The Mill Inn.
