South Devon Day 2 - Wembury to Kingston
This was a lovely section of the South West Coast Path with many miles of stunning scenery to enjoy. It also had a couple of small river crossings; the first at the River Yealm taking you to Noss Mayo and the second one across the Erme to Wonwell. The Yealm is easy, with a small ferry (called upon demand by lowering a board) but the Erme has no such service and 'wading' at low tide is the only way to get across. The biggest disappointment for us on this entire trip was that low tide was at 10:30pm and wading was not possible earlier on in the day. So, it was a taxi journey for us (would have loved to have done that crossing !).
All the same, this day was one of the highights of the walk.
