Pike O' Blisco, Cold Pike & Crinkle Crags

As close as you can get to Pike O'Blisco. We parked on the side of the road which links the Old Dungeon Ghyll with Blea Tarn.

Following the main path which crosses Redacre Gill and keeping Kettle Crag to our right.

Plenty of folk taking our route today, strange as this is usually reasonably quiet.

You can see the diagonal path heading in the direction of Crinkle Crags which we would be on after lunch.

Time for a lunch break with Red Tarn nearby.

Looking back down to the Red Tarn junction - Our pace setter Ste, had done his job, and was now heading back down to the car via Oxendale.

Painful ankles, back and right arm limited his involvement on this walking trip - but he did manage to partake in a sizeable section of each of the three days walks.

A big cheesy grin as he heads back to Ambleside to plan our night out.

As we leave the main path and head over to Cold Pike, we looked back to see all the Crinkles that we would enjoy soon enough.

Before heading back towards Crinkle Crags on this 'Out and Back' detour, we looked over to Pike O'Blisco which we had climbed an hour or so ago.

Arriving at Crinkle Crag (No2) and the bad step - The cloud and rain rolled in making visibility very poor. And yes, we did take the easy path to the left avoiding any climbing.

A break in the clouds helped us navigate along the undulating and rather disorientating ridge.

Bowfell can now be seen emerging from the mist. (That's tomorrows target)
