A short circular walk from Ambleside visiting Loughrigg Fell and the Rydal Caves.

From just below the summit of Loughrigg Fell on the Northern side, is one of the best views in the whole of Lakeland in my opinion.

Parking

Starting out from the car park in Ambleside. I decided to go via the shops and Rothay park to Millers Bridge on the way out.

Spectacular view of Grasmere as you start the descent - I've put a couple of photos on here with this view, but I must have taken a dozen. This is the best way round to do this walk - to have this in front of you is uplifting and never fails to amaze
