Parking at Overwater is easy and although it's a bit further away from the Uldale fells than the handful of spaces at Longlands roadside - it is a good starting point nonetheless. The stroll along the roadside to Longlands is gentle and to be honest so is the rest of this very easy going walk.
Longlands fell is followed by an out and back of sorts to Brae Fell and then onto Great Sca fell and Meal Fell before briefly dropping down to the little valley of Trusmadoor.
The last fell to be visited is Great Cockup before heading back down towards Orthwaite and re-joining the Cumbria Way.
This circular walk is very quiet and the terrain is very gentle on the legs/feet - I find it just about the easiest terrain (on your body) in the lakes due to the predominantly grassy paths. Always an enjoyable day out.
