A location I can remember back in February 2010 - a decision to traverse around the front of Dove Crag was made here in terrible snowstorm conditions rather than press on or go back down High Hartsop Dodd nearly cost us big time ! A few more landmarks were recognised as I gradually pieced the memory of that traumatic walk back together

In 2010 we had climbed up to that boulder through a boulder filled wide gulley in deep snow - legs dissappearing in between - That boulder will remain in my memory for ever, as it was then that I began to believe that I may survive this ordeal. Today there were no such problems, older and wiser and with good weather I pressed on without any drama's.
