Helm Crag (The Lion & the Lamb)

The Helm Crag Circular Walk is a must for anyone visiting Grasmere in the Lake District that will take you to the summit nicknamed “The Lion and the Lamb” due to its unique rock formations. This is a great walk that features a good variety of terrain, making it suitable for a variety of walkers. I met many couples who were out walking for the day from Grasmere, who just wanted to visit Helm Crag and I suspected that some of them may have been walking in the Lakes for the first time - Helm Crag is certainly one of the most popular fells in the National Park, that's for sure.

It is a relatively short and steep walk, which took me about two and a half hours to complete, which was ideal for a warm autumn day.
