Day 2 Cotswold Way - Winchcombe to Cheltenham - 2nd July 2018

Monday 2nd July 2018

After a night out in Winchcombe, we set off for Cheltenham in the morning. A slightly shorter day at 18 miles and we had a stay in the Double Tree Hilton at Charlton Kings to look forward to. We always try and get a 'posh' stay somewhere along the long distance walk and treat ourselves to a pool - it is a holiday after all ! and today was the day.

The weather was roasting again and we did manage to get lost on a golf course (Cleeve Hill) - we think the golfers don't like walkers and try to fox them by not making the way through clear - either that or the fact we were chatting away and didn't bother taking enough notice where we were going - probably the latter ! The Cotswold Way is a very easy to navigate - but anyone can make a mistake (well, some more than others).

We also met up with a pal of mine (Kevin) who was working in Cheltenham on business and he took us to a really good pizza place in the town centre and joined us for a drink.
