Day 7 - Muker to Richmond

The Swaledale Valley is a highlight of this walk for me. The Swale is such a beautiful river and the countryside is idyllic. There are sheep, dry stone walls, stone barns and rolling green hills a plenty. The walking is relatively gentle, although we chose to do 21 miles and go all the way to Richmond in one hit rather than staying at Reeth which is what a lot of walkers do.

We visited Gunnerside, had our lunch in Reeth and then pressed on to Richmond via Marrick & Marske where Dicko & Sian were waiting to meet us and take us to their luxury caravan for the night. We were treat like kings - 5 start rating on trip advisor for this top of the range stay I'd say - and we got free baggage transfer thrown in thanks to the most glamorous 'bag lady' you will ever meet. The lovely Sian.

A good night out was had & Dicko was also planning on joining us for the next day's walk.
