Wetherlam

Saturday 25th February 2017

A circular walk to Wetherlam from the town of Coniston. I tend to park on the roadside (near the Ruskin Museum), there is usually a space or two. Alternatively, there is a large car park in the centre of Coniston.

I only had a few hours today so this walk fitted in fine. The ascent up Wetherlam is enjoyable and not too strenuous, the route is fairly easy to follow starting with a track alongside Church Beck at first before veering off to the right to start the ascent of the fell.

Once summited, it's straight on towards Swirl How which is directly ahead although I turned left at the col on Prison Band (before Swirl How) and headed down towards Levers Water and the Coppermines and then picked up the track again on the way back to Coniston.

No photo's today I'm afraid.
