Sutton Bank, Cleveland Way, The Glider Field & The White Horse

Tuesday 20th June 2017

An evening walk, starting from the Car Park at the top of Sutton Bank and walking along the Cleveland Way escarpement overlooking Lake Gormire and the Vale of York. After about a mile we turned right and walked around The Gallops before crossing the A172 and walking around the Glider Field and the top of the White Horse.

This is a very pleasant and easy circular walk with interesting features along the way - We particularly enjoy watching the gliders land and then get taken airborne again -and the views over the Vale of York along the Cleveland Way are sumptuous. There's also a very nice pub in Kilburn to call into on the way home.
