A fantastic walk in the snow from Grasmere to Stone Arthur, Great Rigg and Faifield returning via Grisedale Tarn and the Great Tongue. Doesn't get much better than this !

It's going to be a day for the views - Crisp morning with clear air and skies.

The gradual ascent to Stone Arthur was slightly harder due to the deep snow

Heading up to the top of Fairfield in the deep virgin snow

On the top of Fairfield - A very large flat plateau - can be very confusing in poor visibility.

Descending down Fairfield towards Grisedale Tarn as the weather deteriorates with a heavy snowstorm - Can this day get any better ?

Seat Sandal ahead - Think I'll head back down now and give it a miss today
