Seathwaite, Grains Gill, Sprinkling Tarn, Esk Hause, Scafell Pike, Brown Tongue, Lingmell Gill & Wasdale Head

Saturday 23rd April 2016

A charity walk organised by my sister Karen in aid of the local Philanthropic Foundation. Karen asked if myself & Davy would be prepared to help guide them safely to Scafell Pike and back - Of course we were pleased to do so and we really enjoyed the day out with the girls, who were all great company.

Our route was from Seathwaite to Esk hause via Grains Gill and then onto Scafell Pike. I would have liked to have done the return leg via my favoured Corridor Route - but as many of the girls were non-walkers, I decided to just go straight down to Wasdale Head after summiting. Much quicker at the end of a long hard walk - but in my opinion not as enjoyable.

A celebration beer or two was enjoyed in the Wasdale Head Inn at the end.
