North Cornwall Day 8 - St Just to Lands End - St Just, Whitesand Bay, Sennen Cove & Lands End

The final day, and we had arranged for an easy one due to the very long journey home afterwards.

A gentle stroll out of St Just was followed by easy coastal walking all the way to Lands End. The severe gradients had all gone and there were even flat paths to walk on near the end. There were also other people - loads of them, maybe not the most attractive of spots to finish our North Cornwall walk, but certainly one of the most iconic. We were happy to join in the fun and games around the famous signpost as we proudly celebrated our achievement.

A shake of the hand, a group hug and it was time to go back to Teesside.

Well, we will struggle ever beat this one - but who knows what awaits in the future.

Another fine and sunny day as we start the very easy glory walk to Lands End

Just around the bend is Whitsand Bay - our destination is almost in sight

And there it is - Dr Syntax Head and our lands End

The last few yards - The excitement was tangible

Nope - gonna leave that for another year

144 miles, 27,471ft ascent, 63 walking hrs, eight cooked breakfasts, 8 cornish pasties and 50 pints !! What a walk !! Will remember it forever

A quick photo to prove we were here - and then it was taxi to Penzance, train to Bodmin and a drive back to Teesside. One of the best weeks of my life - highly recommended, but its a tough one
