A wonderful day in the Langdales - The weather was amazing for February, like a summers day ! Starting from Rossett Bridge I headed straight up to Loft Crag rather than going up the main path to Stickle Tarn. The path is well defined and in many respects, the walk is more enjoyable than the busy trek up alongside the Ghyll. After Loft Crag, Pike of Stickle, Harrison Stickle, lunch above Stickle Tarn - then Pavey Ark, Thunakar Knott and then as an extra treat an unplanned walk over to Rossett Pike and back to the car via the ever quiet Mickleden. A real gem of a day.

Before I left for home - I drove up the road from ODG up to Blea tarn - I stopped off to take a photo at the exact spot my parents took one decades ago - I'm doing this at the moment with a bunch of photo memories they have dug out for me - trying to find the right places is tricky mind but really satisfying. Now back to Teesside
