Esk Valley Walk - Castleton to Egton Bridge

I decided to join Robert for a day in the North Yorkshire Moors, he is currently walking the Esk Valley Way so I joined him at Castleton Moor railway station and walked the stretch to Egton Bridge with him.

A bit of everything on this walk, some sumptuous North Yorkshire dales, bleak heather covered moorland and pretty country villages - not to mention the river walking alongside the Esk.

There are occasional steep climbs, so although this isn't a particularly hard walk, it's by no means easy either.

We were very fortunate to have a dry and predominantly sunny day to enjoy our walk, with a nice beer to finish off in The Horseshoe Inn at Egton Bridge.
