High Stile next as I follow the ridge round

Along the way, you are treated to spectacular views down to Bleaberry Tarn

Leaving Scarth Gap just before Haystacks, I turn right and head down towards the Black Sail Hut and Ennerdale again

What a beautiful place. Time to start the long (flat) walk back down the track to the car park. Even though I'm usually tired, I always thoroughly enjoy this walk from Black Sail back to the top of the lake - I can't explain why, I just find it so relaxing - especially in the sun.
