A perfect circular walk from Langthwaite visiting Loweswater and then the fells west of Crummock Water - Burnbank Fell, Blake Fell, Gavel Fell and Hen Combe then back via Buttermere village and the lakeside road.

Parking

Safely parked up at Lanthwaite - I turn left and head up the road for a few minutes

One of my favourite ever photos I think ! the view and lighting and mood of this scene took my breath away - I'm a novice photographer, but I was certainly impressed with what I captured here.

I'd managed to leave some bottled water in the car when I set off in the morning (never ever done that before) - but I had a flask of coffee and one bottle to last me - not enough on a day like this one but sufficient to manage carefully. At Buttermere the call of the Loweswater Gold was too much - don't usually have a pint when I'm on my own but this was essential (and very enjoyable)

Re-hydrated - I strolled along the lovely roadside of Crummock Water passing many of my parents favourite parking places which I can remember very well.
