Aldbrough St John, Melsonby, Kirkbridge, Stanwick Fortifications, Eppleby

Sunday 10th April 2016

This was intended to be a bit of a country pub crawl - but most of the pubs we visited were either shut or closed down ! So we spent most of the time in the Stanwick Arms at the beginning, middle and then at the end of the walk (even that pub is shut now I think !) It's getting harder to find country pubs these days and many don't even open till the evening.

All the same, we started Aldborough St John in glorious weather and all enjoyed a walk to Melsonby, Kirkbridge, Stanwick Fortifications and Eppleby. Nice Sunday Lunch too.
