Whernside from Ingleton

I had never been to Ingleton before, so I took the opportunity of starting and finishing a walk there. I chose to walk to Whernside and back via the very impressive limestone formations of Twisleton Scar. Unfortunately the weather was not at it's best -especially the return leg where I was subjected to head on winds and rain for a couple of hours.

The route on Whernside takes in a small section of the Yorkshire 'Three Peaks' walk, which being the height of summer was extremely busy and to be honest - not my cup of tea.

Good walk - Good route, but hampered by the weather and the crowds at times !
