South Downs Way Day 2 - East Meon to Cocking

South Downs Way Day 2 - East Meon to Cocking.

This walk was done well before I ever considered having a walking diary website, so the memories of those five days are limited - as are the photographs available for use. So, I'm recording what I have, but it falls short of the records that I would like to present.

We again managed to add a few extra miles onto todays walk after Butser Hill - mainly due to the detours to the Red Lion at Chalton and the Coach & Horses at Compton. Our companion Rob, now an official 'Southerner', lives in Portsmouth and knows this area very well indeed, so took great pleasure in taking us to the best country pubs in the area - the reason why our distances walked, always seem considerably more that the official mileages.

Anyway, a great couple of places to visit and then back onto the path at Harting Down before our second stop over at Cocking.
