Robinson, Hindscarth & Dale Head

Saturday 1st April 2017

I parked on the Honister Pass road before Gatesgarth to start this circular walk. This was the first time I have climbed Robinson from the Buttermere side so I was really looking forward to the challenge - and as expected it was very enjoyable.

I walked towards Buttermere along the roadside and at Hassness turned right and climbed up Robinson. Reaching the Littledale Edge I did an 'out and back' to Robinson and also the same for Hindscarth before heading along the well defined path to Dale Head and its impressive summit cairn.

After descending to Dale Head Tarn I then took the path down to the Honister Pass Slate Mine and back to the car by the roadside
