Pennine Way Day 3 - Standedge to Hebden Bridge

Boosted to 6 walkers today with the arrival of Ste & Brian, we headed out into the remoteness of the Castleshaw Moor with renewed vigour and also grateful of the fresh country air to clear away any light hangovers that may have still been present.

Plenty of moorland, road crossings, stone slabs and reservoirs as is the way in these early stages of the Pennine Way - A place for introverts that's for sure.

A reasonably long day was made even longer by a couple of navigational errors, but all ended in smiles as we arrived with sunshine in the Industrial Revolution heartland of Hebden Bridge in the Calder Valley
