Offa's Dyke Day 2 - Rhaullt to Llanferres

Leaving Rhuallt we reach the foothills of the Clwydian Range and the hard work starts - here we are on the Moel Mean-Efa.

Glad that's not our footpath - May have had trouble following that route ! We are now nearing Sodom - Isn't that a famous place ?

Taking a breather on Moel Arthur. It was certainly a challenging day with one stiff climb after another.

Tough work - but good. Next landmark was the impressive Moel Famau with its protected building at the top that was built in 1810 (George III Jubilee Tower). We descended from Moel Famau to the car park and left the Offa Dyke path and walked along the roadside to Llanferres and the Druids pub where we were staying.

A long hard day, but our legs were fresh and we were feeling good so plenty of energy left for a good night in the bar. It ended (after a night cap that was a whole bottle of welsh whiskey I may add) with Paul (an englishman) shouting the Braveheart speech word for word about Scottish freedom in a pub full of Welsh !! A bit weird to say the least - Anyway it was a cracking night, although I think the landlord got in trouble of the missus.
