North Cornwall Day 2 - Boscatle to Port Isaac

Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac, Cornish Arms at Pendoggett

Another brute - Made all the harder by us taking our boots off at the Golden Lion pub (Doc Martins local !!) and sinking a few cold beers whilst chatting to the barmaid - We intended to get a bus or a taxi to our inland accommodation at Pendoggett afterwards, only to find out that the last bus had left at 5pm and we couldn't get a taxi on a Wednesday without someone coming all the way from Redruth - It was like an episode from Doc Martin ! an additional 3 miles of roadwalking were added to the day (mostly uphill) in the hot evening sun and after our limbs had unwound for the day. A few more beers at the Cornish Arms to finish the day although we were tired that night for sure !!

Port Isaac is a cracking place - Doc Martin is one of my favourite programmes and me and my wife were here exactly a year ago when they were filming one of the episodes and had a great time.
