Langstrath Valley - Pike of Stickle, Thunacar Knott, High Raise, Sergeant's Crag & Eagle Crag

Saturday 17th October 2020

It's been a month since I've been able to enjoy a walk and even longer since I've been to the lakes. Unfortunately we have had a bereavement in the family and all our time and efforts have been spent dealing with the consequences of our loss.

So, my first opportunity was this weekend and I headed for a part of the lakes that I love. The very quiet and beautiful Langstrath valley. Not very well known, and not one of the most popular places - but somewhere I always enjoy the peace and tranquillity of. Today didn't disappoint.

I walked from Stonethwaite up the Langstrath Valley and then turned left and headed up Stake Pass. A short wander around a couple of the Langdales was followed by a visit to High Raise, Sergeant Crag and Eagle Crag before I returned back to Stonethwaite alongside Greenup Gill and then Stonethwaite Beck
