Grange to Stonethwaite

A beautiful walk through the heart of Borrowdale - Easy going for 2hrs from Grange to Stonethwaite. We parked up at Stonethwaite and got the bus back to Grange where we met Sandra & Den. We all enjoyed a Cream Tea before setting off towards Rosthwaite, following the course of the River Derwent. Castle Crag was on our right as we walked through High Hows Wood. After a beer in the Scafell Hotel gardens we pressed on to Stonethwaite and enjoyed another outside the Langstrath.

A lovely easy walk which we will definitely do again.
