Derwent Water Ferry - Brandlehow, Manesty, Grange, Rosthwaite & Stonethwaite

Thursday 23rd June 2016

A lovely gentle day in Borrowdale - We left our hotel on the morning and got on the Derwent Water Ferry at the Lodore Landing. A quick enjoyable trip across Derwent Water to Brandlehow was followed by a stroll to Grange where we enjoyed Cream Tea's in the sunshine by the side of the River Derwent.

The next stretch picked up the Cumbria Way and we made our way to Rosthwaite where a cool beer or two were a must in the beer garden. The last leg of the walk took us to Stonethwaite and another enjoyable beer garden experience in the Langstrath.

This walk is a wonderful and easy going route in the most beautiful part of the lakes. A walk that I never tire of and will enjoy for years to come.

I failed to record this on my GPS so have created the track by memory, so it may not be exactly acurate
