C2C Day 11 - Blakey Ridge to Grosmont

Leaving Blakey Ridge (The Lion Inn) we enjoyed the customary swapping of snacks/sweets on 'Fat Betty' before crossing the moorlands of Danby High Moor and Glaisdale Moors with views into Great Fryup Dale..

Included within this section is the lovely stroll down the Esk Valley from Glaisdale, visiting Egton Bridge before reaching the North York Moors Railway town of Grosmont. This specific part of the coast to coast along the Esk is particularly gentle and scenic and actually an unheralded highlight of the trail.
