Parking in Braithwaite and visiting Barrow, Outerside, Causey Pike & Scar Crags.

A magical day in Coledale out in the snow. A biting wind up along the Causey Pike - Scar Crags ridge so we called it a day at the col before Sail (-19 degC with wind chill) and headed back to Braithwaite via Stoneycroft Gill this time.

As we approach the summit of Scar Crags - the icy wind made the exposed parts of your face hurt. We had intended to walk along the full length of the ridge visiting Sail & Eel Crag and return via Coledale Hause, but we decided due to the temperature to turn right at the col before Sail and head back. A great day nonetheless !
